Hello friends!  Wishing everyone a good weekend....praying that all is well with you and your family.  It has been a while since I updated my blog, needing you share more of my layouts of Ava since I have more waiting.

Life sometimes get busy for all of us and we seem to forget to take time for ourselves...taking a little me time this morning to update my blog.  Most of the layouts that I am sharing today were scrapped using scraps from other projects, mostly Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye.

Ava looks so little in these photos!  I guess she should, they were taken three years ago....times goes too fast.

Two more layouts from 2012.....getting closer!
I scrapped the last two layouts at a scrap retreat in September with friends.  Love being able to get away for a few days to share ideas, visit, and relax.  The best part is the fact that the retreat is only 5 minutes from my home.  I can stay as long as I want and sleep in my own bed at night.  The ladies from the LSS that sponsor the retreat are so much fun to be around, also very entertaining and creative.

Thank you for visiting my blog.....will be sharing more layouts soon.  God Bless.

Zoo Time

I am sharing two more 2 page layouts of Ava....getting closer to finishing her layouts for 2012 and 2013!  Too many things seem to get in the way of my scrap time.  No, I am not making excuses, just telling it like it is.

I scrapped this layout with paper from a Creating Keepsakes Convention years ago in Kansas City.  The photos are from 9-1-2012.   Since Ava started Kindergarten in August, which she was very excited about, makes these photos seem very old.  Time to get busy scrapping before she is ready to graduate from high school.

The second was scrapped with paper from three of my Basic Grey stacks.  I seem to use them often, love the colors and design. As usual, I need to journal, but that will come later.
My next layout was scrapped in February using paper from a Basic Grey class at my LSS.  I loved taking the class and meeting new scrappers, but usually came home and finish the layouts different from the original sketch.  Love how this one turned out, the paper & elements were perfect for my photos.
My last layout for today was also scrapped in February using a sketch from Scrapbook Generation's January 2015 Create magazine.  I had fun with the sketch using mostly left over scraps from my Basic Grey class.  I really like the access of the online magazine, the talented Design Team and other scrappers that are featured each month.  Great job ladies!

Wishing all a super weekend.  God Bless.

Happy Monday!

Wishing all a very happy Monday!  I finished another Ava layout today and want to share it before leaving on vacation early tomorrow morning.
The photos were taken in July of 2012 at the annual Glow Run 5K to raise money for local organizations.  I decided to scrap this event with as much color as possible since color is the main theme for the fundraiser.

I was in such a hurry to finish the layout that I didn't realize until after taking my photo that I need to add a title, journaling, and date.  I quickly added a title and date and will add journaling later....the one thing I dislike the most about scrapping.
My second layout is of Ava, Raegen, and Rachelle painting their nails before attending the Glow Run.  Ava loves having her nails painted, insisting that each nail is painted a different color.

The first two layouts were scrapped using mostly Basic Grey paper and elements from kits that need to used....love the colors.
I am also sharing a layout that I scrapped in January and have not posted until now.  I am trying to get caught up before Raegen heads back to school.....yikes!

I still need to share what all has happened since the first of the year and will later....many changes in our lives.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  God Bless

Precious Memories

Today I am sharing two more layouts of Ava.  I have been busy this summer trying to get caught up to a certain point before Raegen goes back to school.  This year will be a big change for all of us since Ava will be in kindergarten...she is very excited to be going to "mommies school".  My days with Grayson will be very quiet without his big sister to keep us entertained.

My first layout was scrapped using Sketch #109 by Audrey Yeager at My Scraps and More Sketches using the Best Friends kit from Carta Bella and miscellaneous Basic Grey paper.  I have no idea how long I have had the kit, but the colors were perfect.
I had a hard time getting the angles correct, adding more pieces than the original sketch...probably due to my overthinking the process.

My second layout was lifted from a previous layout of mine and using the same paper.

Wishing all of blessed day.  I will be sharing more layouts soon....thanks for stopping by.

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing two more layouts that I finished last week.  During my time of no blogging I was able to scrap, just didn't take the time to share my layouts.  This past year I took a monthly Basic Gray class at the LSS, loved it even though there were times that I was unable to attend....ultimately giving me a lot of Basic Gray kits to scrap.  I loved the classes, enjoyed meeting new scrap friends, but decided not to take the class for another year so I can get caught up on my unused kits.
My newest layouts were scrapped using paper from my Basic Grey kits, BG stacks and other paper.  My goal this summer is to finish layouts of Ava for 2012 and 2013....getting closer to that goal.

I am enjoying my summer off, sure helps having time to scrap.  I will add more finished layouts in my next blog.  Wishing all a great weekend.

Blog Update....finally!

Wishing all a Happy Friday!  I haven't blogged for several months and won't go into the reason now.....just happy that I have been able to scrap and will catch up on my blogging soon.  Our normal lives, as we know it, can change very fast, and, our life certainly has....not necessarily all bad.  Updates and the layouts that I have scrapped since January will be posted later.

The inspiration for my newest layout is the June sketch from Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog, created by Ashley Horton.  I chose not to design a card with my leftover paper from my layout, realizing that I will not be entered in the give away at Scrap Our Stash.

Ashley's sketch caught my eye since I love scrapping with hearts and circles.  The photos of Grandpa and Ava were a perfect match for the sketch.
My next layout was scrapped with photos from the same evening....photos of Ava and her mommy, Raegen, after Ava's bath.  I normally scrap two page layouts and when I don't, I like to have my paper and colors coordinate....I know, very OCD, but I can't help myself.
Thank you for stopping by.....God Bless.
