Favorite Layouts from 2016

Today I am sharing 10 of my favorite layouts from 2016.  I found it a challenge to pick out only 10....I know I could have picked out several more layouts but resisted the temptation.  I'm sure I am like most scrappers and have layouts that I am not real crazy about, just glad the photos are scrapped and in an album.

I would like to thank Steffanie for suggesting we share out favorites.  I have not taken the time to blog since August, so glad for the extra boost.

The first layout I scrapped for Grayson.  He is still taking Chemo weekly and doing wonderful.  This past week he had his first haircut since his Leukemia diagnosis in February 2015.

Love this one!  Ava sleeps in her Great-Great Grandparents bed....she was so excited when we gave it to her.  It still has the original shipping label from the Montgomery Ward catalog on the back.  I journaled all of the information, adding it to the back of the layout.

I keep a running total of my layouts during the year for self motivation...very proud to say that in 2016 I scrapped 28 more layouts than in 2015.  Wishing all of you a Happy New Year.

Hello!  I am sharing my newest layout using the August JumpStart Sketch from The Scrap Room blog.  I love using circles on my layouts, so I changed the original sketch just a little.

I like to scrap using wallet size photos, which were perfect for the sketch.  I am trying to use up some of my Basic Gray from classes that I took at my local scrap store.  I hate that we have lost Basic Gray  in the scrapbook industry.  Love their product and miss buying it.
Be sure and stop by The Scrap Room to check out the latest sketch and kits....great ideas and peeps.  Thanks for visiting.  God Bless.

Good Morning!  I realized that I have several layouts that I need to add to my blog.  The layouts were scrapped over the past month from our yearly trip to visit friends in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  We are getting ready to leave in a couple of days for our yearly trip...thought I would add these before we leave.

I added journaling to the last six layouts after taking the photos.  I'm not crazy about a couple of the layouts but at since I am so far behind I am glad they are scrapped.

Praying all is well!  God Bless

Hello!  I am back to share my newest layout.  I found the perfect sketch for photos of Ava on a trip back to Kansas several years ago....time certainly goes too fast!  I used the July sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.  Be sure and check out this awesome blog.   I am very happy to say that at this time I am only four layouts away from the total number of layouts that I scrapped in 2015!  Yay!
I turned the sketch to fit my photos and love the results.

Wishing all a blessed day!  God Bless

Hello!  I am sharing a layout that I scrapped several weeks ago and just now adding to my blog.  It is a lift from one of my favorite scrappers, Lynette Jacobs.  I have followed her blog faithfully for several years and love her beautiful layouts and spiritual inspiration.  I was inspired by a layout that Lynette posted to her blog on April 16, 2016.

Wildcat Noah was scrapped using photos from March 2013.

Layout by Lynette Jacobs.

I am also sharing two single layouts that I scrapped the first of June.

The photos were taken on a visit from Ava and her mommy to our home over spring break of 2013.  Ava thought it would be fun to crawl into a wagon that I keep extra pillows and blankets in case we need them in the winter months.  Silly girl.

Ava and mommy waiting in line to visit the Easter Bunny.

Wishing all a good day.  God Bless.

Happy Tuesday!  I am very excited to be finished with Ava's 2012 albums!  Yay!  I also have a good start on 2013 and it feels great since I had stopped working on 2012, for some strange reason, and have scrapped half of 2013.....I hope to be close to being finished with 2013 by the end of the summer!

The photos for the last two layouts were taken at Ava's third birthday.  Ava and Noah, with encouragement from grandpa, thought it would be fun to try to catch one of the ducks from the neighbors yard.....didn't happen!
Ava and daddy playing net games after the party.  These are single layouts but since I am a little OCDC about my paper matching on the opposite page, I use the same back ground paper.  I know, very silly, but it works for me.

Wishing all a blessed day!

Hello again!  I am finally back to share more Ava layouts.....I am so close to finishing her 2012!  The last single layout has been waiting for a title and journaling for over a week, life keeps giving me more to handle.

You never know when life will change and it certainly has over the past four weeks.  My husband, Ron, had open heart surgery on April 22!  He is home and recovering wonderfully.  We feel very blessed that the doctors found this when they did and were able to do surgery the next day.  This was certainly a surprise to our family and friends, since Ron has always been so active, working out daily at the gym, or at home.  We are grateful to the doctor that preformed the surgery and to the nurses for their care after the surgery.  Praising God for a successful surgery and recovery!

Grayson finally has a layout!  Yay!  I have been so behind that I have been putting off starting his album....poor guy!  I bought the kit at a scrap retreat in February and scrapped it the following weekend.    It was perfect for the photos of Grayson and his aunt playing at the park in December of 2015....beautiful weather.
Scrapped 2-12-16 with photos from December 2015.

Scrapped 3-16-15, photos from 2-15-13....paper is from one of the first stacks I purchased many years ago.

Scrapped 3-20-16 using a kit I purchased at a retreat in February.

Scrapped 3-25-16

Scrapped 4-3-16.....love how this one turned out!

You never know when life will change, live each day to the fullest!  God Bless.
