It takes 2
I finished this layout several days ago and just now getting it posted to my blog, just not enough hours in the day! I combined challenges again on Club CK, this time combining only two challenges! The first challenge was to scrap a companion layout for Project Runway #1. I had scrapped a layout a couple of months ago of my daughter and granddaughter, and since I like my opposing layouts to match, the challenge from Derva to scrap a companion layout was just the push I needed. When scrapping a companion layout, I usually scrap with the same colors, papers, etc! I decided to use the same Basic Grey as my foundation paper, changing it up a little with a pink/orange color scheme. The second challenge was Issue #4-create a card, or layout, with a monogram.
I love the photos on my granddaughter, especially the middle photo, hence the title! I thought is was so cute, both mommy and daddy getting her dressed to go out for the day!
This is the layout that needed a companion.....thanks, Derva! As you can see the colors are different, but the design is the same.
Looking forward to the weekend, hoping for cooler weather and much needed rain! Thanks for looking!
Love them both!! Great work!
ReplyDelete(and I too have been wrapped up in the Olympics...as you mentioned at club ck). :)
Carolyn, the color scheme of the orange, pink, and gray is so beautiful!! I love that you used the larger photos and then gave a little tilt to them! Such a great page!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute layouts! Love the big bird!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts. Love the idea of different colors on the two pages but keeping the design similar. Looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat pages - I love the colours and where did you get that big bird from? Its perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI scanned it from an old Sesame Street book that DH and I read to our daughters years ago. We now read to our granddaughter! Thanks!
DeleteLove them both Carolyn! The bright pink and cute badge drew me to the 1st and the sweet photos and yellow to the 2nd. Beautiful job :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts. I grew up on Sesame Street and Big Bird was one of my favourites.
